Thoughts on Living the Reiki Precepts

Just for Today: Do Not Anger
We allow ourselves to be angry and with this allowance comes a type of commitment to the action and a need to follow it through.
In Mark Nepo’s book, The Book of Awakening, he wrote, “there is a Buddhist precept that asks us to be mindful of how rare it is to find ourselves in human form on Earth.”
Move into today in silent contemplation or meditation and throughout the day remind yourself “you are one of the rarest forms of life to ever walk the Earth.” (Nepo)
If we realize how unique we are in each moment throughout the day, it may become easier to refuse a commitment to anger.
