Thoughts on Living the Reiki Precepts
Updated: Jan 19
A moment of thanks.
I want to thank everyone for their patience in waiting for my next post. I was recently hospitalized due to an infection that had turned septic. This stay in the hospital, and the long recuperation period that followed, inexplicably altered my life.
Over the past few weeks I’ve changed my eating habits, eliminating sugar (chocolate) in my life, as well as the way I think about my relationship with my body. I’ve renewed my commitment to the Reiki precepts and in October I will be attending a class in Chicago to go deeper into their meaning. I’ve also become more devoted to my meditation and exercise practice. Surprisingly, this has all had an impact on how I view my relationships and my life’s path. It’s as though I’ve been through a serious cleansing of mind, body and spirit.
As you know, the Reiki precepts play a big part in my spiritual development. These posts represent a part of my personal journey as I learn and appreciate all that the precepts offer and how to use them as guides. I share these insights with you in hopes that something I post (whether quotes or my own musings) might resonate with you and help guide you in your own spiritual search.
Thank you, not only for your patience but also for allowing me to be a small part of your day.
