Just for today: Do Not Worry

If we don’t make attempts to curb our worrying, our body’s energy flow becomes stagnant and we become stuck in a pattern of endless worry. Illness and disease can follow when you are not at your optimum best.


A few ideas to overcome worry just for today:

1. #Positive affirmations. Imagine knowing you can handle any obstacle. Create positive affirmations to help your subconscious mind play a different recording, even if it is only for today. Focusing on positive imagery instead of a constant barrage of negative thinking, develops a new repetitive message of strength and confidence.


2. Set aside time to relax, whether that time is for #meditation or #Reiki, give yourself the gift of a quiet and calm experience. The more time allowed to rejuvenate yourself, the greater your confidence will grow, increasing your ability to manage your worries.


3. Write your worries down and see what happens. Winston Churchill said that when he wrote his worries down he discovered that a couple of them would eventually handle themselves, the other few he could do nothing about so worrying wouldn't help. Give it a shot. If it worked for Churchill it just might work for you.


More than anything consider how worrying zaps you of positive emotions and keeps you from enjoying your present joys. You are a beautiful soul who can handle so much more than you think. Give thought on this Reiki precept and just for today, do not worry.
